001. icons

 I decided to give icon making a try. Not sure how I feel about it yet haha. I used to do stuff like this in middle school like all the time. But I never did icons. I used gimp, since photoshop and I have a love-hate relationship.

I doubt they're good enough for anyone to actually want to use them haha. Which is to be expected seeing as this is my first attempt, and I didn't spend a whole lot of time on them. Although I have to admit I have seen a lot worse...and now I sound conceited. Anyway, here they are. There's only a few.

edit: for some reason there's a little white strip on 2 of the icons. at least when I viewed the icons on my desktop. idk why, idk how to fix it.

There are lots of very similar icons. I'm indecisive and experimenting :P

i'm using gimp because it's free. i can never find a serial that works so that i can download and use photoshop. and gimp is a lot like photoshop, so i can use what i know about photoshop there. except that i'm pretty rusty when it comes to photoshop :P lol

Oooh ok, now I get it :) And yeah, I had the same problem but then I found a download for a working Photoshop somewhere (I think it was on the lj comm yousendit but I'm not sure) and since then I'm working with Photoshop :D
